Hometown

台 is a personal project that celebrates my hometown, Taiwan. The Chinese character 台 symbolizes Taiwan (台灣). I designed a series of posters and apparel to share a story about Taiwan through a distinctive geographic illustration style. Each poster highlights an iconic item that holds special meaning for me when I think of home—pearl milk tea, blue-and-white slippers, poe divination, pork soup dumplings, sky lanterns, Taipei 101, retro bags, mango shaved ice, tea, and the CKS Memorial Hall.

I curated a variety of typography styles to reflect the spirit of Taiwan—its embrace of diverse cultures and people.
